Hope you've been having a good 2024 so far... I didn't realize our last update was LAST YEAR...! 😬 But everything has been rolling right along since then, and we're now at that point where we will be locking orders. We'll be initiating the order lock this evening, which will trigger a final notification email from Backerkit to complete your survey if you haven't done so already or to make whatever changes you may wish to make to your order within the next 48 hours (confirm add-ons, payment method, shipping address, etc). After that 48-hour window, your order will be locked from any further changes.

We will then process credit card charges for any balances due on Monday.

We are still looking good for a late-April ship date. We will leave the addresses unlocked until closer to that date in case you need to update your shipping address before then. We'll let you know when that lock date comes up (but it will likely be around the end of March).

In the meantime, we have received the first hard copies of DON'T LET GO from the printer, and they look great!

All of the books in the collection are of this quality, so you'll be very pleased with your new reading material! 😊

We hope you are closing your 2023 with a healthy spirit and sense of fulfillment. It has been quite a busy year for us, and we are happy to say it has, for the most part, been one of exciting projects and growth. And 2024 is promising to be even more exciting! We are kicking off our 10th Anniversary in January with a lot of big projects and announcements planned for the first two quarters... stay tuned! It should be quite a fun ride... 😊

The smoke test went without a hitch, so the rest of the surveys have gone out this morning. If you don't receive your unique invitation link by email in the next few days, please message us at [email protected] and we'll help you out.

Surveys will stay open until mid-February, at which point we will lock orders so that we can set final production numbers for final fulfillment in April/May. We're not sure exactly which week that will take place, but we will be sure to post an update with fair warning a week or two before that order-lock happens.

DON'T LET GO proofs have been approved by the authors and the factory has started preflight proofing. We expect printing of that new volume to begin in the next week or two. We'll be sure to send some pix of the production along the way. 😊

We hope you had some happy holidays this past week and are getting ready for a nice New Year. We're just now returning from holiday travel and getting caught up on everything, including the surveys for this campaign.
 

For those of you who aren't sure what that means: the "Smoke Test" process is a small batch of surveys (about 5% of the total) that are randomly selected and sent in advance of the rest to catch any unexpected technical issues or questions that may come up. If you are one of those randomly selected 5%, you should have already received your notification and link from Backerkit by email. The rest of you will likely get yours later this weekend. Backerkit suggests we wait at least 24 hours or until 75% of those Smoke Test surveys are complete before sending out the rest, just to make sure everything is running smoothly. So, assuming everything is working as expected, we'll send the rest of the surveys out before the weekend is over. 😊

Note: If you use a @privaterelay.appleid.com email address (ie. you registered with Backerkit using your iPhone or other iOS device), then you will need to contact us with an alternate email address that we can use to manually update your Backerkit account. Backerkit has trouble sending messages to privaterelay email accounts, so that is something you will need to help us fix. Otherwise you won't get any notifications from Backerkit and won't be able to log in to complete your survey.

With the surveys going out, the Backerkit store is now open, so if any of your friends missed out on the campaign, tell them it's not too late to join the party! Anyone can now follow the button at the top of the campaign page to place late pre-orders.

What a great way to end the week — we hit that second stretch goal with some change to spare! 😄

We’ll get the pledge manager set up quickly, hopefully ready and approved for launch by Backerkit before next Friday since pretty much everyone will be shut down the entire following week. (We’ll be traveling for the holidays, too.)

DON’T LET GO is now at the printer and the other items are either already at the warehouse or on their way. This should be an easy one to fulfill as quickly as the books arrive from the printer.

I hope your Monday has been a pleasant start to your week -- ours certainly has!

In addition to exciting progress on a few other projects separate from this one, we officially checked off the first Stretch Goal here in the campaign... now everyone gets a set of stickers with their books! We showed a few in the Stretch Goal teaser graphic, but we've managed to up the creature count in the set: 11 individual stickers in all! You can put a whole flock of pterodactyls in whatever formation you want wherever you want!


Next up, we'll add a SECOND linen cardstock postcard print to each book/bundle! That's TWO linen cardstock prints per book, EIGHT total if you grab the whole collection! (These will also be offered individually in the pledge manager in case you already have some of these books in your collection...)

With only 4 days left to go, it will be exciting to see if we can reach that goal in time. While we have gobs of predictive data from our many Kickstarter campaigns, Backerkit traffic has shown to have a different pattern to it -- there's always a good uptick in the last 48 hours, but it's hard to gauge what that will mean in this case. According to Backertracker's math, we could end anywhere from $26k to $37k... So these next 4 days will be exciting to watch! 😊 We wanna make these prints! Then, if we hit $30k, we'll have something else to reveal before the clock ends.
